I’ve always been more interested in how things get built than in any single thing. What makes a company work. Why some ideas attract capital and others don’t. How attention becomes a business, and a business becomes something that lasts.
It started early. At eighteen I was building online media and communities, which taught me distribution before I knew the word for it. I went from investing my own money in US stocks in 2018 to managing a private fund with an AUM of over US$7M today, and it taught me to read a business from the outside. Then I went from studying companies to running them: AC Genotec, a biotechnology venture pairing R&D with distribution — stem-cell therapies and genetic screening through partner labs; a university-backed Web3 arm I led as CEO; and a financial-literacy initiative that had me speaking at universities across Malaysia.
Greyrock Capital is where it came together in 2024 — my own vehicle to invest and build under one roof, from real-world-asset tokenisation with Sumotex to earned-wage access with TapCash. And now software: AI-native tools I first built for myself, because after years of running on relationships, information and capital, I wanted systems that could keep up.
